
One day a week a NYLAG attorney will be based at Boro Park to help residents with the following four legal areas:
- Housing: tenant's rights, evictions, Section 8 disputes, and other general housing issues.
- Immigration: assistance with citizenship, green card, and legal status. All inquiries are strictly confidential and are provided to undocumented immigrants as well
- Public Benefits: assisting clients with issues regarding Social Security, SSI, appeals to Food Stamps and Medicaid ,and fair hearings
- Family: divorce and child custody.
BPJCC is an affiliate of Met Council, was founded to serve Boro Park and surrounding areas with all their social service needs, such as: Medicaid and Child Health Plus, food stamps, employment, crisis assistance, immigration, financial counseling and legal services, as well as services to seniors and holocaust survivors.
