The Legal Aid Society of Rockland's Civil Division provides legal representation to clients whose income is within 200% of the poverty level in: evictions, foreclosures, cases involving clients' right to receive public assistance benefits, immigration matters, bankruptcies, and divorces. In addition, lawyers in Children's Rights Division (CRD) represent children in family court proceedings involving, abuse and neglect, juvenile delinquency, PINS, custody and visitation, family offenses, termination of parental rights, and foster care placements.

All the cases for that division are assigned by the Rockland County Family Court and there are no eligibility criteria for those cases. The program information below pertains only to the Civil Division.
