Who We Are

Third year legal interns at the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Clinic at CUNY Law School represent asylum seekers, battered spouses, suppression cases and legal permanent residents with criminal convictions in USCIS interviews, administrative hearings in Immigration Court and at the Board of Immigration Appeals. In addition, our program offers community projects including: legal advice and application assistance at community sites on naturalization, family petitions, adjustment of status and consular processing, counseling or representation to community members approached for information by the FBI, and know your rights course at community organizations or places of worship. All services are free and confidential.
