As a member of the Armed Forces, Reserves, National Guard or other uniformed services, you have legal protections for you and your family when you are called into active duty military service. The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) provides these protections to help you and your family with financial and legal issues.

Under certain circumstances, you can terminate or suspend your cell phone contract without facing penalties. If you are required to deploy for 90 days or longer to a location where the contract is not supported, you can request early termination or suspension of services without penalty.

This interactive form is designed to help service members terminate or suspend their cell phone contracts without penalties or additional fees under the SCRA. By answering a few questions, the program will generate a sample letter and instructions for you to follow. You can then print the form, proofread, sign it, attach a copy of your orders, make copies for your records, and send the original, along with attachments, to your cell phone service provider.
