Renters and Evictions during COVID-19

Under New York state rules, if you are a residential tenant who cannot pay your rent and have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19, you cannot be evicted until after May 1, 2021. This is called the COVID-19 Emergency Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Act.
