Quiénes Somos
Since 1983, the Mediation Center of Dutchess County (MCDC) has provided individuals, businesses, schools and Courts with direct dispute resolution services and training.
In 2002, the Mediation Center adopted the transformative model for mediation, training, and education.
Additionally, MCDC has a robust Restorative Justice Initiative.
More information on services
MCDC’s mediation services encompass matters and disputes both in and outside of Court, ranging from civil/small claims, matrimonial (divorce), family (custody & visitation), workplace, special education, youth & schools, and more.
Fifteen Dutchess County Courts (Family, Supreme, Town, City, and Village) are partnered with the Center to provide parties with the opportunity to resolve disputes via mediation throughout the Court process. Resolutions agreed to in mediation may become enforceable Court Orders.
Mediation through MCDC is both voluntary and confidential and is protected under Article 21-A of the New York State Judiciary Law.
Restorative Justice
The Mediation Center’s Restorative Justice Initiative offers conflict resolution and training services to businesses, community agencies, neighbors, families, students, teachers and staff.
Restorative Justice can provide individuals with effective ways to prevent and respond to social, cultural and environmental conflict. Services are tailored to the specific incident and the needs of the individuals.
