Quiénes Somos

The Domestic Violence Project (DVP)’s mission is to help survivors of intimate partner violence and their children live free of abuse. DVP recognizes the dignity and worth of all individuals – we consider intimate partner violence, regardless of gender, sexual identity, religion, immigration, or other status, to be a human rights violation. Our comprehensive services include legal representation and advocacy in Family, Integrated Domestic Violence, and Immigration Courts; case management services; financial, housing, and benefits educational workshops; and support and empowerment groups.

DVP serves survivors of intimate partner violence living across the five boroughs of NYC. DVP stands out from other programs in the way we center each survivor as an individual – we never expect clients to fit into a “cookie cutter” method of services. We bring our expertise to provide options so that the client can confidently decide what is the best path for their family.
