Who We Are
The Cardozo Bet Tzedek Civil Litigation Clinic at Cardozo Law School represents individuals with disabilities who cannot afford private counsel in a range of civil cases. Second and third year law students work on cases that involve benefit programs (particularly Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare); disability-based discrimination in governmental programs, public accommodations, housing and employment; alternatives to guardianship; and avoiding nursing home and other institutional placement. Students also do wills and advance directives for low-income clients.
