Who We Are
The mission of the legal program is to address legal needs for all survivors, create accessible services for underserved populations and be the leading experts in all legal resources for survivors on Long Island. Services include: Advocate for laws and policies that remove barriers and protect and empower survivors. Defend all survivors especially those who are disproportionately harmed — people from low-income communities of color. Protect and uphold the rights of survivors and change laws and systems that perpetuate injustice and inequality. As well as provide resources and referrals to other support services.
