You can sign up or renew your health insurance with New York’s State of Health Marketplace. The State of Health program helps people and families afford health insurance.*

From November to the end of January (known as open enrollment), you can: 

  • Renew if you already have a plan through the State of Health program or 
  • Sign up if you do not have other health insurance.

Sign up or renew through NY State of Health in three ways:

You will need basic information for everyone in your family, like birth dates, Social Security numbers, and income.

If you already have a plan, NY State of Health will tell you when it is time to renew your coverage. You can also sign up for text or email reminders so you do not miss any deadlines. 

*Please note: The government shutdown is affecting your health insurance options. Congress needs to vote to keep "subsidies" (money) that help more people afford health care. If the subsidies end, millions of people will have much higher monthly premiums. Contact Congress if you want affordable health insurance. We will update this article when we know more.
