Who We Are
CAMBA Legal Services’ team of experienced and caring lawyers provide free, expert legal counsel and representation to eligible low income and working poor residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Established in 1993, CAMBA Legal Services, Inc. (CLS) is the legal services arm of CAMBA, providing free legal services to poor and working poor in the areas of Housing, Immigration, Government Benefits and Consumer Law.
In addition to legal services, CAMBA offers more than 150 different programs, enabling us to provide holistic services to help our clients and their families overcome both short-and long-term barriers to self-sufficiency.
CLS provides anti-eviction legal services to families and individual tenants, including representation in Housing Court, administrative government benefits advocacy, and advice and counsel.
CLS also provides legal assistance to immigrants including advice and counsel, application assistance, and legal representation in immigration matters.
Additionally, CLS provides legal assistance in consumer matters, foreclosure assistance, and issues with domestic violence.
